Browser extension · Chrome, Edge and Firefox today

Your prompts, one click from every AI you use.

PromptVault's side panel sits beside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity and many more. Browse your library, insert a prompt with one click, or save anything you find on the web — without leaving the tab.

  • Free
  • Uses the account you already have
  • Nothing is read from the pages you browse

See it in action

Six screens, the whole product.

Real screenshots from the extension — annotated so you can see exactly what happens where. Click any one to view it full size.

What you can do

Everything the panel does, without leaving the tab.

All of it ships today — no waitlists, no preview flags, nothing behind a separate purchase.

One-click insert

Find the prompt, click once, and it lands in the composer you're already looking at.

Markdown, not flattened text

Headings, numbered steps, nested lists and code fences survive the trip — the structure that makes a prompt work.

Save anything you select

Highlight text on any page, right-click, and it becomes a prompt in your library.

Personal ⇄ team, one switch

Flip workspaces in the panel header. Your team's shared prompts come with you.

Search, favourites, recents

The prompt you used five minutes ago is one keystroke away, and the ones you star stay on top.

Fill variables before inserting

Prompts with {{placeholders}} ask for their values first, so what lands is ready to send.

Category colours & filters

The same categories and colours as the web app, so a long library stays scannable in a narrow panel.

Copy as Markdown, .md or .txt

When insert isn't the right move, copy out in the format the destination wants.

Works where you work

Eleven AI tools out of the box. And anywhere else you point it.

One-click insert is tuned for each of these — headings, numbered steps and code fences land intact, not flattened. Somewhere else? Enable that site once and the panel inserts there too.

Install

Up and running in about 30 seconds.

Three steps, once. After that the panel is a click away in every tab.

  1. 1

    Install

Add it from the Chrome Web Store.

Open the Chrome Web Store (opens in a new tab)
  2. 2

    Open the panel

Click the PromptVault icon in the toolbar; the side panel opens.

  3. 3

    Sign in once

The panel sends you to PromptVault to sign in, then picks the session up automatically. You never type your password into the extension.

Already signed in on the web? The panel finds your session on first open.

Privacy & permissions

What it asks for, in plain language.

Every permission below is requested at install, and each one exists for a single job. Anything not on this list, the extension cannot do.

Side panel
The panel surface itself.
Storage
Your session, workspace, settings and recents — kept on your device.
Context menus
The right-click → save entry.
Active tab
Reads the text you right-clicked, on that tab, at that moment.
Scripting
Runs the insert into the composer you chose.
Site access
Only the AI sites listed above, plus PromptVault itself for sign-in.

What it never does

  • Never reads the pages you browse — only the text you right-click to save.
  • Never asks for access to every site at install; broader access is opt-in, one site at a time.
  • No analytics and no third-party endpoints.
  • Your session stays in extension-scoped storage, where page scripts and other extensions can't read it.
